We listened to the reviews on here expecting a decent place to eat, but the fish fry was really not appetizing. Everything was frozen food that was just heated up - the fries and fish felt as if they came out of the frozen dinner section at the grocery store. It was also overcooked. The coleslaw was really runny and just felt cheap. And the onion rings were awful - they were chewy on the outside and rubbery and cold on the inside. Apparently knives don't exist either, because we were only given forks by our waitress. When the waitress asked us how our food was, before we even had a chance to answer, she just walked away. Also, the Cardinal decor is really uninviting as a lifelong Milwaukee Brewer fan. I expected one of those gem fish fries you find out in smaller towns, but unfortunately we drove 30 minutes for a $14 TV Dinner.

An alright place for a simple meal and a couple of drinks. Place is kind of nondescript, staff is friendly.

Always a stop on a Friday nite if I'm close by. Excellent fish fry, economical price...nice staff :)

Out for a ride with my lady early Monday stopped at Borlands in Belleville had a very good breakfast and a great conversation about baseball with the owner looking forward to stopping in for a Friday fish have been told its very good will report on that after.

Best Friday fish fry and we've been goingfor over 50 years!

Little Gem! The front of the restaurant is unassuming. However it is like stepping back in time to good ol supper club days. We arrived early by 5pm and sat at one of the bar tables. The place just started filling up. It came alive with the local and out of towners. People were friendly, laughing and having a great time. Only one bartender, but she could make a mean old fashion with a smile! The food arrived fast and HOT by our server Barb. The best fish we have been too in a long time. We have tried several fish frys all over Wisconsin and Borlands tops them all in friendly service and yummy food done right!!

Everything else is below average!

Great place to eat.The wait staff is out standing.

The menu is stark and gives very little in lower calorie non-fried foods. Salads or vegetables are nonexistent. Much to my amazement in the DAIRY STATE they put fake cheese on their sandwiches!! What a way to support your state! The price for a mushy ham and fake cheese sandwich was WAY too much. A real waste of time and money.

Best place to get Chicken and Fish fry

Loved it. Especially the prices. Fish Fry well worth the drive. Kids cheeseburgers as good as they looked. We will be back.
